I'm hoping to make it this year. It's going to be tough to have funding for the car and the trip ready by then. I might have to talk to the bank for the first time regarding this darn car I met up with the MN3S guys last year and had a fun ride down with them to Indy. I hope to see everyone make the trip this year, the people at the NG are always cool to see. Matt

Booked room today!!! I'm so excited I have wood!!! Could just be the fact that I haven't driven my car or heard a BOV in four months...

Every winter, about the end of Feb, first part of March I think we all start getting the itch. Makes me wonder why I torture myself by having an AWD car I can't drive in the winter. Although, if I lived in the south, my car would probably have 200k miles by now!

Hotel info still not on the site, how is everyone finding out to fill it up so fast? I am trying to get a room right now... Registration for the gathering on the website is not working for me, have to try it on another computer. The VR-Slow will be there looking for some low 12's this summer.

posted hotel info on the first page 'cause it was "hidden" on me also. The hotel info page doesn't work, but after you sign up for the gathering it's on the bottom of the page right by the save/comfirm button. Best Value Inn 269-925-3234 2860 M 139 South Benton Harbor, MI 49022 Group Name:3/S national gathering Group Code: 0720 The lady that answers seems to know that every one is coming for the gathering as she knew the dates before I told her.

Bit of news for anyone wanting to participate in the road course at the NG.... I was selected as one of the instructors. Woot. Free event for me! Don't have to pay!! But seriously, if anyone is interested in participating, I can instruct you now (legally, hehe) and help guide you through it. I've driven Gingerman before at a HPDE driving school event so I know the track fairly well already. Plus I'll likely head there this June again to re-live my blowned-up-engine experience. Jesse

Congrats Jesse! You deserve it.
As my contribution to W3si, I'm going there in an attempt to win the Quick 8 Drags. I just might have the car to do it! We will see.
Hope to see everyone there.
Matt

I believe that I signed up for an instructor. I wouldn't have if I knew the caliber of people that they had. Way to step up and be that guy! As for my contribution to the W3si at the national gathering, I'm going to show the nation why Wisconsin has seven of the top ten drinking towns in the nation. P.S. Joe can a keg fit in the trunk of a stealth?

By the NG, I'll have participated in 6 HPDE events and that's plenty to instruct the basics to a beginner to help keep them "safe" on the track. Or safer at least. ttangel wrote: I wouldn't have if I knew the caliber of people that they had Hey, no comments from the peanut gallery! edit: Matt - aww, you can't throw out a statement like winning the quick8 without SOME info!!!

I think this year I'm not going to do it all in one night. I think Joe needs to drop in that 3.5L stroker motor to insure the N/A championship.

Yeah, spread it around so the hotel doesnt smell. J/P! And IF I had the CASH, it would already be going in. But for now, I'm just gonna have to do it with the STOCK motor. NA Fury
