If driving on twisty roads with a caravan of 3S's isn't enough to get you peeps out of your house and into your 3S on a rural cruise...
What are we missing?

anniversary with the GF. If I take her to this for the anni, then she gets to pick something unpleasant for me when it's her turn.

That's unusual because... Uhm, but, yeah, seriously though... We are stopping for a nice lunch, hitting DQ for the afternoon sugar fix and ending up at a real nice place that has great app's, food and drinks, sunken fireplace and all. She really hate all that? Don't forget, we'll also have some real nice giveaways from 3SX, W3SI and perhaps a couple more folks if we can pull it together. You going to do that poker thing again A-man? SJ

Okay guys and gals, I need your input here -- what to do about ol' mother nature... It looks like it could rain tomorrow. Hell, it looks like it could rain until next Wednesday for all they know -- and that's the problem -- THEY DON'T KNOW. Some of you may remember last year we got caught about halfway through. It sucked. So this year we thought that perhaps moving it up might also help with better weather, besides trying to juggle all the scheduling issues we had to deal with. So do we go for it? This Saturday I'll be bugging out right after my daughter finishes cheering at a football game and racing to the Pick N Save just to get there in time as it is. So do we propose a rain date, for example, Sunday 9/10? Ooops -- looks like it's suppose to rain then as well... In addition, I know some of you have asked for work off and I don't want to screw that up. I, like many, have family events scheduled all around tomorrow as well and any move will piss someone off, but that's life I guess. I also know how Sundays can be -- packer games, family days, most other clubs cruise on Sundays, roads could get busy, can't have as much fun on a Sunday, et al. The only othe possible weekend option is bad for me, either Saturday the 23rd or Sunday the 24th. I would need to short change someone in my family (again) to make one of those two days work -- and who knows what the freakin' weather will be like in two weeks! Saturday morning my daughter has two games, which means I doubt highly I can get there by Noon unless I skip out on one. Also, Saxe's has a huge wedding that afternoon/evening, so our great destination probably would not happen. The 24th, Sunday, Packers game at Noon, I have a Boy Scout committment at 4p, etc., etc., etc. I've already had to cancel and reschedule a number of outdoor events this August and September and I am sick of the rain, so I guess I am in favor of just going for it and hoping for the best. So far, the restaurants have been flexible (except DQ whom I have not even bothered to dial in just yet) and are simply waiting for me to call today. So I'm asking for your opinion -- go for tomorrow or what? Let me here from you. SJ

HA. I had almost talked lisa into going to this too.
Every other weekend this month I have a wedding I am standing up in...
But the rain will keep my car away for sure. I have the intake sitting right where water will spray into it, and haven't had the ambition to make up a rain shield yet... or put the wheel wells back in yet...
Oh well.
Maybe with the beater.

Bring her anyways, we'll have fun. They keep going back and forth -- I swear every hour -- scattered showers to real hit or miss. Was supposed to rain today -- it's 81 & sunny. I want that job. SJ

We're thinking we should maybe move it to tomorrow -- it's a tough call. Could be okay today.
Need to make the call by 10a.
What say you? Any strong objections?

I want to say a quick thanks for all who came out as I think a good time was had by all, despite the overcast sky. I hope you all liked the new route. A big thanks to Bill Such and his family at the Around The Corner Cafe in Hubertus for opening up just for us and preparing a real nice lunch spread. That was awesome Bill, no one went away hungry there! A big hello to our newest member Allen Andree, who's plate VIAGRA 2 got the most attention. Then there was the secret vacuum hose mod on Johnny's car, the secret hokey-pokey fuse dance to get it started and ver fer blowing off his y-pipe, but no harm no foul. Nice job on the banner A-man! In addition, our new rear hatch decals were a hit! Thanks to A-man on that as well. All the protoypes were scarfed up, but don't worry, we'll be getting more printed ASAP. And as always, a HUGE THANKS to our friends at 3SX for sponsoring our Rural Cruise! Thanks Grover! The question I have is do you think Uncle Benny and the Best Buy in Delafield will ever be the same? Pictures soon. Best, SJ
