Quote: This is a crude ASCII drawing. The O means a bolt hole on the AC bracket.
| Feed Line v _______________________ | O | O <- bolt section of AC bracket | ----- we removed for SS line [ ] <- center cartrage O O [ ] [ ] (turbo) [ ] <- oil filer housing | Return Line
EDIT: For some reason the spaces aren't showing up. Quote this message to see the drawing with the spaces. WTF? Quote: The feed lines are supposed to be in the same location but I thought I remember reading the they had to be moved a little. I found a 35 degree banjo adapter. What is the reason for the banjo, could a regular fitting be used? Are they using it to limit flow?
there is no way that the 3sx feed lines can run the same course as the stockers with their design. I will eat my mechanical engineering diploma if they can do it with the 90 bend that that banjo makes. the reason for the banjo is the AC bracket. You cannot come straight out with the line, or you again hit the bracket. The banjo makes it possible to run the line straight up, and with a slight modification to the AC bracket, make it to the turbo. Quote: You should design a new lighter bracket in you spare time. maybe I will. so there.

sorry, i was slow on the draw. I work with a bunch of monkeys. I wonder what they would do with out me. other than toss fecies.
You can still make it happen if you want. just make up the braided lines. We could cut and crimp one end in your garage... we will need a bandsaw or something to modify the bracket, though.

I have a grinders(bench/hand), a diegrinder w/cutoff wheel,Sawzall, I think I have access to a bandsaw if needed I'll have to check. I wouldn't be able to get parts by this weekend. Any one want to try and pull it off on the Oct 22. Adam do you have your stock lines yet, I think I can get the lines cheaper premade like the 3SX ones.

I have my stock lines in a box in the front of my garage I believe... 95% sure.
We can make do with a hack saw and a lot of swearing to modify the AC bracket if need be.
what are you thinking here, killer?
I'm down like a prom date whenever you do this, unless something rediculously important comes up.

Mitsu Owners day is that day. ...but to be honest, I'd rather drink beer and turn wrenches than spend $$ and show off my pathetic excuse of a car.
I'm in.

Adam can you get a measurement on the stock lines? I think I an going to get the premade ones. 2) 3ft sections w/ -3an ends will be cheaper then a 6 ft sections of bulk hose. Then all I have to do is buy the banjo adapters and bolts. I may start disassembling next weekend if I don't go up north (depending on weather).

I think I have everything together to do the turbos this weekend. I will start taking it apart Fri. night (intake,dp,heatshields). I'll start spraying everything I can tonight.

That's with travel time. any more is weak sauce. boost controller/fuel injector/tune ~ 2 hours. unless you drop one of those plastic spacers. then it's 6 hours. Still plenty of time. eat your spinnach and drink your bawls. get 'er done. there are a few jobs that can get done without supervision Greg. Matt. I'm not touching the rear turbo. do you have torches, and spare studs incase? If not the hardware store 5 min. from my house has the exact ones for a 1.29 a peice.

ah, the chinese fingers. I'll do my best to remember them. Remind me about them again on Thursday/Friday. G-ELL wrote: You mean, you're actually going to work instead of watching me do it? I don't actually work on cars. I just talk about them on the internet.

I'd say you could do it at my place but that might get a little crowded doing turbos and a clutch. I have a small torch kit. What size are the studs?
