Now, my times seem like they are times for an NA, so we know something is critically wrong with my car. Here's my summary of tonight.
Run 1: 60ft - 2.431 1/8 mi - 9.911 @ 72.405 1/4 mi - 15.401 @ 88.428
Summary: Okay first run ever racing the vr4 at the track, we know its gonna be shitty. The 2.4 60ft was expected, but surely not the ET and Trap. Something's not right, I think boost leaks at first. My car pulls great until about 5000 RPM's in 2nd gear, then boom loss of power, then its on again and I shift....
Run 2: 60ft - 2.240 1/8 mi - 9.590 @ 72.918 mph 1.4 mi - 14.978 @ 90.665 mph
Summary: Yes, something is definitely wrong. After some launch coaching from verfer, I slip the my launch more around 4000rpms and lower my 60ft, which improves my time. But wtf, STILL INSANELY SLOW. After talking with Adam and Matt, it is suggested to check out my plugs. Yes, plugs need to be changed. This may be our cause, but I'll let them chime in on that.
Run 3: 60ft - 2.121 1/8 mi - 9.321 @ 71.378 mph 1/4 mi - 14.824 @ 87.986 mph
Summary: okay I get what I feel is a good launch, I'm reeling in a DSM when, I miss of all gears, third. What the hell is wrong with me and missing third. I don't comprehend how people miss 2nd, but somehow I miss third. So I'm sure that's the cause for the trap messup, but I feel had I hit it it would have probably been a 14.6x at around 91mph, keeping with the trend. It was cooler out, so that seems logical.
But what the hell, we're gonna change the plugs tomorrow I think, and see if I can hold power until further into my powerband, as it lets off WAYYY to early. I'll give adam a ride tomorrow and have him see what I mean as well.
Overall a very fun night, and I'm slowly getting hooked again. Once she's running properly, and ONLY when she is running properly, will it see mods.
Oh and Adam, after some thought, her name is "Sandy".
Thanks to Adam, Matt, and the usual gang for the good time tonight.

That's ok i didn't do much better either. I on;y got a 13.01 but it was enough to beat that C6 at least that time the next run he killed me. He actually had me the first run too but missed 3rd.

vette's are slow. They paid extra money and don't even get 4 wheels that spin. We've got a few options for brett's car today that were gonna work on. There is a boost leak from his throttle body that just refuses to stop. Also, we'll change his plugs with one of my used sets. I've got a few with 500 or less miles on them, but there better than his. His old platinum plugs that came out looked original. Not suprising. My back ones did the first time I changed them. Platinum plugs have little "nubs" in the electrode. One of Brett's nubs was completely gone. worn right down. So I think his loss of power is fairly explainable. we'll change the plugs and get back to you. He's coming over at about 3 in the afternoon today, if anyone else wants to stop by, we'll probably grab a grill, make some burgers, change some plugs, and maybe swim. Also He's not leaving today until that leak from his throttle body has stopped.

I'll probably swing by after work if I can. I still have to throw my GT42 on the fordshizzle taurus.

Brett,
In the future, shift at 6K instead of the redline. The torque really falls off in the upper RPMs with the stock turbos.
ALSO, we need to get you a boost gauge. I have a feeling I know whats wrong.
I can head up tonight if you guys would like. Adam, I just left you a message.

PS:
What EBC is Adam running, or what is an effective one that holds boost and can work as a gauge as well?

You can borrow my boost gauge if you want just to figure out how much boost you're actually running. Obviously I don't need it for anything.

this sbc-id is the shiz-nite!
normally you can tell if plugs aren't rocking out via the lame sounds your car will make when you TRY to accelerate. Easy change though to rule them out.
