There are two small bracket somewhere near the top of the opening for the rad. There is a bracket that attaches to that. Then you attach the plate to the bracket. I'm not sure how zip ties would work, but I'm sure its possible.

Hi, Why don't you just leave it off? I see a lot of cars without their front plate. There is a plate bracket. I have one with the plate in the trunk. Hopefully some cop will show mercy. I do not think the fine is too big. That's OK for me because Idon't drink. If I drank I would have it on the bumper with the bracket.
Good Luck,
Rick

I had to put mine on as I frequently get harrassed for every little thing when I drive. Twice I was stopped just for no front plate. It got annoying. I also drink, so thats another reason why I havent removed it.
