my steering wheel shakes when i go faster than 40 mph, and its not brakes or tie rods or any alignment issues that i can think of because all thats been checked and/or replaced. The wierd part is it shakes then stops for a little bit then goes again. Any ideas?

rotate your front tires to the back and see if it fixes the problem.

it could be wheel balance. to much toe in can cause the front to hop.

Are your ball joints loose at all? I would have them checked when you get your wheels balanced. you may have just lost a weight or two. Mine tend to fall off in the winter. Those sticky weights just dont hold liek the clamp on ones.

yea im pretty sure last time jeff worked on my car he noticed the balljoints were loose but this is a differnt kind of shaking, i hope its the balance of the wheels, its just wierd cause it rattles then stops for a mile or two then picks up again
