I have no idea what the technical term is here, but I need one of those little black metal tabs that is covered in plastic that guides the windows into the weather strip at the roof level of the car.
The passenger side of the 3000 had the tab bent into the weather stripping, and I tried to just bend it back out, but it won't bend far enough back to clear the window as I close the door.
This is a very small issue that I could just walk away from I suppose, but it is one of those things that every time I see it, it will just bother me...
So I'd like to fix it.
How much of a pain is that?
Thanks.

I believe that comes as 1 big piece with the weather stripping. Could be wrong..
If I'm not, it is easy to replace.
Edit: it's definitely not what I thought. Can't help ya.

The window is adjusted too far out. It can be adjusted inward by threading the guides in and out.
You're smart and it's pretty obvious how to do it once you get the door pannel off. If you have difficulty, I'll make a write-up.
That tab you're talking about is a part of the trim piece that holds the rubber trim. The rubber is just pushed into it so you can pull I out and see what's messed up with the tab mount.

If the window is going too high, then the bumps which catch the window to stop it need to be adjusted down just a hair.
There are 2 of these rubber stoppers. They're circular, black in color, and are held In place by a 12mm bolt.
Remove the door pannel but leave the switches pluged in (it's going to take a few tries before you get it just right. Lower the window a bit, loosen the stoppers, tap them down a bit, retighten, set door pannel back in place, roll up window, check alignment and repeat if it's not perfect.
It's harder to type out then it is to actually do it. I can only get to w3si on my phone and it sucks to post. If you get hung up or need a better explaination just call.

I but the problem is the tab was already bent over at a 90* angle when I got to it. I believe I may have to do something about that before I even worry about the window... I'll let you know how it goes. SUPREME OVERLORD COMMANDER OF THE UNIVERSE

Ah well in that case, pull the rubber seal out (just grab and pull it) off around the tab and you'll see how that tab is attached and can repair it.

It's hard to get it back to shape. What you could try is bending the metal piece that holds the rubber out a bit. The rubber will cover it so cosmetically it won't be visable.
