I own a 95 sl whith a 91 tt engine, tranny, harness and ecu. I have a few things I need to finish on the car and could finish alone. Although I figure with an experienced wrench-hand it would go much faster and with less errors.

Here is the list of things I still need to do.


1. hotwire fan

2. install oil cooler and lines

3. replace all loose hose clamps and check for leaks

4. swap fuel lines

5. install twin turbo drivers side half shaft

6. install crank angle sensor at top dead center

7. install downpipe (NA one already removed)

8. install drivers side ball joint



I would just like to extend an offer to anybody with experience in need of a little extra money. I really appreciate any help what-so-ever and am excited to finish this project!

the fan hotwire is pretty easy.

the oil cooler and lines are not bad either. I have a spare set in my garage right now as a matter of fact...

hose clamps and leaks I have a rob beck pressure tester for.

ugh on the fuel lines... like from the pump, or just in the engine bay?

half shaft isnt that bad.

I'm not doing a crank angle sensor on someone else's car.

downpipe is easy.

I've never done a ball joint, believe it or not, but I'd try.

so... I'm in green bay, I work in appleton.

I have spare time, you just have to make sure my wife ok's it.

Thanks for the quick response, fuel lines just in the engine bay. I agree and understand about the cas, Ill figure that one out some how. I would definetly appreciate your help, p.m. me as to your needs for gas and time. Thanks again!!!

There is no crank sensor on a 91 motor. Just the cam sensor near the throttle body.

If the sensor was marked before it was removed it will work just as well on the new motor.

If it wasn't marked it's not a big deal. Just put it in about the middle and rent a timing light. The car will start and run if it's a bit off. Use the timing lght to set the timing to 7 deg. Sometimes I set it a tad more advanced for a little more power.

G-ELL - Thanks for your help! I will try that for sure because it isint marked. I must have ment the cam angle sensor because it is just in front of the TB.

tonight is bad, as I have to do some stuff around the house.

Tuesdays I coach mini-soccer.

I will check and see, but I believe I may need to pick my daughter up from day care either wednesday or thursday... which ever one it is, I can show up on the one that it is not.

Or if you want to wait until the weekend, then we will have a full day, but I've got to make sure I don't have to set anything up for the reception...

ok, so when do you want me to stop by, and also PM me your address so I can find it, and maybe your phone number.

As far as the stock oil cooler, I'll just bring it along and you can have it. I was prolly just going to pitch it anyways.

The lines are leaking badly, and will need to be replaced before it's usable, but the cooler itself is in good shape.

I can do saturday morn/aft or Sunday.
