Hey guys, I've got the schedule for the UMG finalized. Here it is: Friday, May 18th 3-5pm -- Meet up at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. Their check-in time is anytime after 3pm. 5:30pm - 7pm -- Caravan from the hotel over to dinner at Buffalo Phil's Grille. 8pm - 10pm -- After supper, we'll go back to the hotel. At about 8pm we'll make an ice cream run over to Culver's. After that we might take a spin around the main cruising strip of Wisconsin Dells. I know some people will be going to the Drive-In movie theater as an alternative. So you really have two options for Friday night. Saturday, May 19th 8:00 - 8:30am -- Meet up at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort We'll drive over to the Automotion Car Show at Noah's Ark. 9am - noon -- Attending the 2007 Automotion Car Show at Noah's Ark. There will be over 700 show cars there. Admission is free. It will take some time to see all of these cars. This is one of the largest car shows in the Upper Midwest. Noon - 1:30pm -- Lunch at the Pizza Pub. We eat here every year. Really good service and a buffet for pizza lovers. 1:45pm - 4pm -- Boat tour on the Upper Dells. 4:30 - 6pm -- Go-karts at Fast Track Go-Carts. 6:30 - 10pm -- Cookout at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. Bring your own grilling food and we'll cook it. We will have charcoal grills and picnic tables set up. There will also be beach volleyball, swimming and a bonfire later on in the evening. Afterwards some of us may go cruising down the main drag of Wisconsin Dells. Sunday, May 20th 9:30 - 10:30am -- Meet up at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort Check out time for Baker's is 10am. 10:30am - 1pm -- A rural cruise around Wisconsin Dells. Just west of the Dells are some very twisty and hilly roads. We will stop a few places along the way to get some pictures of our cars. In year's past the rural cruise has provided some spectacular pictures of our cars. 1pm - 2:30pm -- At the end of the Rural Cruise we will have lunch at Danny's Diner. Danny's is a "back to the 50s" style restaurant. 2:30pm and on -- This concludes the 8th Annual Upper Midwest 3/S Gathering. For anyone else who is sticking around later, I may go try the Jet boats or do some mini-golf. Everyone is welcome to join us for that. Last year most people headed for home at this point The schedule can also be found at: http://www.mn3s.org/schedule.html

Hey everyone,
We are down to the final week. We've got 78 sign ups! I did notice something new at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. Looks like they have free wireless internet this year. That will be nice. So bring your laptops if you got one.
later, Curt

later, Curt I've been digging into this one further as they fight over the computers here at home and teachers are powning on them here the last few weeks -- sounds like only in two certain sitting areas in the main building. We'll be bringing two laptops... Should know more today. EDIT: Okay, Dawn indicates that eventually the whole place will be good to go, but just not by this weekend. So there is a good chance SOME rooms close to the two routers will work, but not all. That is all. SJ

Hey SJ,
I'm at Baker's tonight. There wireless works pretty good by there office. But you're right, it doesn't go much farther beyond that. Its still worth bringing the laptop.
See you guys soon,
Curt

Curt Thanks man. Yeah, they are STRESSED with this end of school heavy load. I'm a bit disapointed as well, as it sure seemed like we were coasting a few weeks back and now that we're almost done, they pile it on... Where is my copy of School's Out? Like I said, we'll have TWO laptops with us. See you tomorrow night. Was hoping for a near 4 p.m. departure (laugh with me), I'll get us there as soon as possible, try to hook up for dinner weven though we may be late -- TRY. SJ

Hey everyone,
What a great time at the UMG. I think we had 53 3/Ses and 62 owners that showed up. Thats a new UMG record!! We had 39 3/Ses and 5 other cars on the rural cruise today. That crushes the old record. The cruise stretched for over 3 miles. Thanks to everyone that came. What a blast!
later, Cu

Thanks Curt, you did a fantastic job with the whole event. Next year I hope to make the cruise also. I hope everyone made it OK with no mishaps or dead 3s's laying around.[/quote]

Yah, i kinda missed the cruise again for the 3rd year in a row. I just couldnt get my car to start as we were heading out. The negitive battery terminal corroded over so it wasnt getting a good connection. For a while it just took a little bit to get the car to start, but never got that bad. After 10-15 mins i was finally able to get a good enough connection to start the car, i was unable to get the terminal tight, so a few times driving, it started going out on me. So i took a bunge cord out and hooked it up to my vap canister and the terminal so it wouldnt get a bad connection as a temporary fix(which worked). Got a new terminal now so its all good now. Other then that it was a good time like every time.
