I wouldn't mind knowing either, but I'd say you could probably just call MoparJim. He seems to know a place you can get anything done at a reasonalble price.

I used to do port/gasket matching when I was in high school. It is very easy to do with $250 in air tools and so abrasives. You could do something like that yourself. Eastwood Company sells the stuff required
For extrude honing you might have to ship out of the state to get good results. I don't think it has a big boost for EFI cars though.

I have been told that it is better than the standard port and polish. but I dont know to much about the process and the diferences between the two so any input you could offer would be awesome..

Port matching and gasket matching opens the area at the flanges which in many casting processes are narrower than the chamber opening or are not aligned. The lack of alignment creates turbulence eddies which slow flow. When the openings are aligned the flow is smoother.
Extrude hones polish the entire length of the runners. When the upper and lower intake is done as an assembly the ports are matched too. Usually the most problems are right at the flanges.
This was a bigger problem on older cars which didn't have the rigid quality control we have today. I don't know if you will get much power from this on a SOHC.
For better bang for the buck you can't beat nitrous. Unless you have a TT then the $18 boost controller is the best bang for the buck.
I would do other mods before this. Then this can be more effective.

Polishing exhaust manifolds is the easiest BTW. A die grinder and some emery wheels are all you need. Due to the nature of the materials it is hard to screw them up too.

well considering I have pretty much all the bolt ons you can get for the sohc and a 100 shot this is my last mod before going internal. but I am considering either a single turbo or the ripp SC kit..

crap, there is a place somewhere near depere.... Cant think of the name right now but my buddy had his heads ported, flow tested, and assembled for like $800. I dont think they were polished at all but they had a flow chart with them and they increased cfm a bit..
That was on an 00 ls1 camaro.. My friend said it was probably equal to stage 1 heads from other places.. Which run about $1200 I think.. So he saved a little..
I think the place might be called Bay Speed or something like that.. Ryan

Ya they do it.. I think in his case he might had better gains with these specialty places that work on them more but in his case it netted him decent games and cost less..
You could give them a try or possibly other places as well.. I know that some places send them to bay speed for the work.. Ryan
