My guess is we should have 55 to 60 cars actually show up for the UMG. Can anyone offer up some floor space to Seek N Strike. He wants to come really bad. He is from Chicago and can't rent a room because of his age. He'll pay is fair share. I'm really getting pumped for the UMG now. W00t!!!!111 later, Curt

Hey Seeknstrike, I currently have the 2 queen suite with 3 people so it will be a little cramped, but you could always throw down on the floor. Another alternative for me or anyone else you can find to shack up with is see if you can get someone to upgrade to the 2-room cottage. It's only $18 more a night and sleeps 5 as well as offering a little more privacy. Check out all your options and let me know when I get up there. I'm going up Thursday and should be in around 6:00 I'm thinking. If you don't get any better offers, let me know and we can work something out. Bret

Curt, Thought a fun thing to do while getting ripped and grilling out would be to do a fun trivia competition deal like who drove the farthest, closest, highest mileage on the odometer, fewest, and by the sounds of the forums worst mechanical horror story a week before the event . Could even come up with six categories and anyone who wants to participate brings a six pack of beer or something and whoever wins that category everyone else has to give them one beer out of their six pack. Just a thought, kind of dumb but could make for interesting conversation. Also, there are going to be a LOT of people at the UMG this year. It might be a good idea to group cars for any caravans and have at least one person in the group be local so nobody gets lost. Again, just a suggestion, sounds like this is going to be the largest turn-out yet.

Just thought I'd alert, weather.com shows it beginning to clear late next week, however if it changes to rain for that Friday/Saturday i'll probably bail. Going without my car is one thing, but if im going to be stuck indoors all weekend I'd rather save the money... ya know?
We'll see what mother nature has in store!

Again, just a suggestion, sounds like this is going to be the largest turn-out yet. We usually use FRS radios to help cordinate things. Especially during the rural cruise when we'll have 30+ cars in one caravan. It works pretty good. In all the rural cruises I think we only lost one car. When we go to all of the local spots in town, they are usually on the main drag and not very hard to find. I have maps on the webpage with most of the addresses of places. I'll be posting that into in another post. But everyone should bring an FRS radio this year. We'll probably use them the entire weekend. In the past I just used them for the cruise, but we are getting big enough to start using them for the whole weekend. Can't wait!! later, Curt

We'll see what mother nature has in store! Hey Brett, Don't sweat the weather. Its never accurate 5-6 days out and since you aren't bringing your VR4, you should care even less how the weather plays out. The UMG only happens once a year, do you really want to skip out on it because of a chance of rain. Then you'll have to wait another whole year for it. That sounds more painful. later, Curt

I'm very powerful when it comes to changing the weather myself. Here is the current weather.com forecast for Wisconsin Dells: Now thats POWER! (It will be funny to see how the weather really pans out because I'm sure the forecast will change 10 times this week.) later, Curt

no one but god can predict the weather farther than 4 days out.
after that the variables become to much, and your best bet is the farmers alminac.
Sorry to burst anyones bubble if they plan on being a meteorologist some day, but it's mathmatically impossible to make a program that can see further than that with any accuracy in the guess.
