Many of us throughout Wisconsin (and even Illinois ) have used him for services including 60k timing belt change, turbo swaps, engine rebuilds and clutch replacements. For OEM parts in the Milwaukee area, Angie Volkman and Donyell Picard at Russ Darrow Mitsubishi in Waukesha offers W3SI members a 20% discount. They can be reached at: 262.506.3162. For tyres, we've had good luck with both on-line services Tire Rack, and Discount Tire Direct -- but then you need them mounted and balanced. For balancing and mounting of on-line purchased tires, we've had good luck with a few places:

I'd like to thank Mike Reagles [346.57(5)] for doing some great leg work for the club. Mike has persuaded the Car Quest on Sunset Ave to set up a special DISCOUNT account just for W3SI. The manager he worked with can't quote a specific percent off on the discount will be as it will depend on what is being bought.

Please note the discount will NOT be limited to 3000GT or Stealth parts, so we can shop for our domestic stuff too. He mentioned discounts on engine, drive train, suspension, brakes, and filters as examples for sure, including performance upgrades.

He gave Mike several examples of our cost on things and it looks pretty good. Another benefit is that if it is a "special order" item, chances are there may not be a "freight" charge, depending where it ships from.

We'd still recommend people shop around and check internet prices like with 3Sx and such, but by all means check with Car Quest for a price; the "freight" thing might be a lifesaver.

When asked if he prefers cash over credit card, it didn't seem to matter.

So, just mention the W3SI account prior to being rung up for our prices. The W3SI account is up and running right now.

Mike stopped by today but our contact was out. He wanted to ask him if the account was good at any store or just this one. Since it is in their computer, we think it is good all over. We don't know for sure.

Our contact did mention in the past that each store gets something out of volume, so -- if members in the area could use his store, I think he would appreciate it.

So shop around, but always check with Car Quest and YOUR W3SI account.
